J!NX Mortal Kombat T-Shirt Giveaway

J!NX is now the official licensee for Mortal Kombat apparel. To celebrate the occasion, they have generously given mkbible.org four (4) promotional codes to give out to the community. Each code is good for $25, which covers the cost of one t-shirt.

The giveaway begins tomorrow (Friday, March 16) at 5PM PDT. All you have to do is stay tuned to @mkbible, where I’ll be randomly tweeting one code at any given time throughout the evening. Winners are asked to make themselves known. Good luck!

Mortal Kombat “Beta” (Sega CD)

I’ve released the Mortal Kombat “beta” for Sega CD over at ASSEMblergames.com. Not much is known about this aside from the fact that it’s on a Sega Mega CD-R disc, which were primarily used for pre-production builds. I’ve compared the file dates with the final version (including the European and semi-Japanese releases) and they all match, so I’m at a loss as to when this was actually produced and how it differs from the final build, if at all.

UPDATE: This is not a beta. A CRC comparison shows that it is in fact the final build. Bummer.
